9. The pump trap will be emptied after the pump is turned off and the valves closed.
10. The filter will then be cleaned, backwashed, and disassembled if necessary.
11. The salt system is inspected to make sure everything is working correctly.

8. The freezer protector sensor should be checked early in the fall season before freezing occurs. So although you might be able to buy an automated cleaner to remove debris the more in-depth cleaning will take up a great deal of time.
